Frequently asked questions
How ZUSHI works
The questions buyers ask before their first order. If yours is not here, ask us.
What is ZUSHI?
ZUSHI is a sourcing platform for apparel. It connects fashion brands, retailers and buying houses with verified manufacturers, and then runs the order in one place: sending RFQs, comparing quotes, managing sampling and production, holding the documents, and tracking the shipment. The alternative most teams are working with today is a mix of email, spreadsheets, WhatsApp and a sourcing agent.
Who is ZUSHI for?
Fashion brands scaling past their first factory relationship, retailers and private label buyers running multi-factory programmes, D2C brands placing their first production runs without an in-house sourcing team, and buying houses or agents managing orders on behalf of several clients. Manufacturers join the other side of the network through partner with us.
How are manufacturers verified?
Every manufacturer passes three gates before they can quote on your order: KYC, which establishes that the business is a registered entity and is who it claims to be; a site audit, which checks that the facility exists and is capable of the work being quoted for; and quality checks on what actually comes off the line. They run in that order, and the quality checks keep applying after onboarding rather than stopping at it. Read what each gate covers, including what verification does not mean.
Which countries does ZUSHI cover?
Sourcing is concentrated in the major South and Southeast Asian apparel manufacturing markets, and the partner network spans logistics, customs, inspection, insurance and trade finance across those corridors. For a specific country or product category, ask us — coverage varies by category, and we would rather tell you plainly than have you find out after an RFQ.
How do RFQs work?
You submit a requirement once — category, quantity, construction, target price, delivery window, any certifications you need. ZUSHI puts it in front of the manufacturers capable of making it, rather than you chasing each one separately. Quotes come back in a comparable structure, so you are reading the same fields across every factory instead of reconciling different formats by hand.
How does production tracking work?
Once an order is placed, sampling and production move through shared milestones that both you and the factory update against. The status of every order is visible in one place rather than reconstructed from an email thread, so a slipped date is something you see when it slips rather than when it becomes a delivery problem.
Does ZUSHI handle logistics and shipping?
Shipments are tracked in the platform alongside the order they belong to, and the freight, customs, inspection and insurance providers involved are part of the ZUSHI partner network. ZUSHI coordinates that movement and holds the documents against the order rather than acting as your freight forwarder itself.
How much does ZUSHI cost?
Pricing depends on the volume you source and how much of the platform you use, so we quote it against your actual programme rather than publishing a single number that would be wrong for most teams. Ask on a demo and you will get a straight answer on the call.
How do I get started?
Two routes. Create an account and start sourcing straight away, or submit a requirement and we will come back with manufacturers that match it. If you would rather see the platform before committing to either, book a demo.
Still have a question?
Ask it on a demo, or send your requirement and we will answer it with real quotes.
